Our Principles of the Prevention and Control of Infection in Health Care Settings course will protect you and others from the spread of infection. It will support reducing infectious disease transmission, ensuring people stay healthy, in any caring environment. Prevention and management of infection control is the responsibility of all who care for others. If you work in a Health and Social Care setting, completion of this course will help you achieve Standard 15 in the Care Certificate - “Infection Control".

Protecting people from infection is a vital part of providing high-quality care, especially as some life-threatening infections can spread easily within care environments. In this course, you will gain the skills you need to tackle infection risk in the workplace. You will also learn procedures and regulations surrounding infection control, as well as the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
